Premier Houseboats are pleased to present this Keyhaven Yawl, designed by the renowned designer Laurent Giles. She is constructed with marine ply with an oak backbone cascover sheathing. With a lifting keel and 5000lbs of ballast the draft is a modest 1m with the keel raised, increasing to 2m when lowered allowing creek exploring or longer passages. She has a flexible gaff yawl rig with bowsprit and bumpkin and a 28hp Volvo inboard engine.
Accommodation comprises a double berth forward cabin with three further single berths. Seperate toilet compartment also houses a hand basin and shower. Heating is supplied by a Pascall Atkey stainless steel charcoal burner for light sumer use, and a Parp Industries multi fuel burner for heavier winter use. There is a 12v LED light system with brass fittings, and three brass paraffin lamps. The galley houses a Taylor 029 paraffin stove, coolbox and stainless steel sink. There is good headroom throughout, from 6' to 6'11.
Equipment includes Jib, staysail, main, mizzen and topsail all tan and in fair condition. Ratheon ST400 tiller-mounted autopilot, Plastimo 4 person life raft, two automatic life jackets, Seago inflatable dinghy with plywood seat, 2.5 hp Suzuki outboard and Performance Power 780w petrol generator.
Navigational equipment includes Simrad RD68 VHF/DSC with telephone handset and cockpit speaker, Navico RT6500 VHF, Furuno GPS, Echopilot sounder with cockpit repeater, Nasa Navtex Pro and Suunto steering compass.
There were new pine cross-trees and mast chocks fitted to the main mast in 2009, together with a full service and overhaul of the engine.This is a fine example, with some varnish work needed on the topsides reflected in the asking price.
