Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Sandbas, a beautiful ship in the final stages of conversion to create a stunning family home. Originally built as a German steam tug in 1892, Sandbas had also worked as a Norwegian cargo ship and sand carrier before coming to the UK in the mid 1960's.
Sandbas has been converted in a way that gives her the look of a working ship externally, whilst internally creating a nicely flowing family home. Work is currently being done with Sandbas ready for viewing by the beginning of June 2022. Internally, Sandbas offers accommodation over two levels. Entering at the back of the boat into the wheelhouse, this light and airy space could be a perfect day lounge, with lovely views around the boatyard At the back a steep set of steps lead to what used to be crew quarters, which could be a comfortable third double bedroom with room for an en suite as well.
