Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Albatross a historic ex lightship, vn30, available on a residential mooring and offering impressive space both internally and externally. Built by Henry Robb Ltd of Leith, Scotland, she is thought to be the last surviving ship from this admired shipyard.
There has been an incredible amount of work done already to Albatross, both internally and externally, and she now needs an internal fit out to create a quite stunning home in both space and look.
This ship benefits from fantastic headroom throughout, with plenty of room to create a stunning family home, utilising the internal space available and the many original features available with the boat. There is room for at least four double bedrooms ( all with en suite facilities), dining room, kitchen, and possible two large lounge areas and a family bathroom. Internally she has been completely cleared out from top to bottom and is ready for conversion.
There are lots of materials onboard to help the conversion process, and compliment the work already done, including Jablight insulation, various sizes of timber (4x2 & 6x2), large amount of new wiring, 6 sheets of 18 mm ply wood, large amount of pipe work for drainage, and fitted kitchen units from Howdens.
The deck space is also impressive offering panoramic views, and the deck areas at both ends have been cleared ready for use, or to extend the deck structure already in place. the entire exterior has been treated and painted down to the mud line, with the hull in excellent condition. There is a survey from November 2017 available.
