Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Galexy, an historic ferry with enormous character, spacious accommodation and cruising capabilities. She has been used as a passenger ferry, and also as a supply ship for the Radio Caroline ship. Galexy has just been to dry dock where all work recommended has been carried out. She has been painted, and had anodes fitted, as well as being plated where needed.
Galexy was originally a ferry licensed to carry 340 people. She has been converted to a houseboat, and has immense character as well as plenty of living space. with lots of original features. The large open plan lounge area has lots of built in seating, a large wood burning stove and large windows on both sides making the lounge extremely light. There is a music room, and a good size galley area. Corridor leads through to a large dining area, with large built in table housing a hatch to the downstairs area. This area can be completely opened up during warm weather including the roof.
Downstairs area is open with a seated lounge area, two large double sleeping areas, as well as walk in wardrobes and plenty of storage.
Mechanically the boat is sound, and went to and from dry dock under its own power. Currently on a swinging mooring, the boat would need a complete refurbishment internally. The boat is currently in Medway but will soon be moved to Canvey Island.
