Navida has been converted to provide comfortable living space whilst retaining the look and feel of a boat, striking the perfect balance.
Structurally, Navida was built to ministry of defence specifications, double diagonal teak on oak frames, and is an extremely sound boat, which has also been well maintained by her current owner, with only a small amount of repair work currently needed above the waterline by the kitchen. She has a good amount of outside space to enjoy the surroundings, and with a relatively small amount of aesthetic work needed to really bring her to life.
Internally, you can access the wheelhouse from either side, which has been turned into a large lounge area, with panoramic views, whilst keeping the navigational area should you wish to cruise her, which adds amazing character.
Stairs lead down the the stern area, which has a large double cabin and two good sized single cabins.
Forward of the wheelhouse, steps lead down to a well appointed galley area, range cooker that will need LPG conversion, large convection/microwave oven, and plenty of storage and work surface, with a modern feel. To the back of the galley area is a cabin with built in double berth.
To the side is a utility room with washing machine/dryer, and next to this is the bathroom, with bath and shower attachment, and a sea toilet with hand basin.
Heating is through a kerosene boiler, hot water is through a separate gas boiler, both of which will need a full service but should work well once this has been carried out.
Navida has Perkins diesel engines, and although not currently used we are advised that once serviced they should be ready to be used.She is moored on the river Medway at Cuxton, where the current owner has stayed on her since purchase three years ago, and has painstakingly cleared and repaired any areas of rot in that time, whilst also creating a lovely home for himself.You are able to stay on her as often as you like, although the mooring is not a secure residential mooring.
