Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Bristol Blue, a wide beam canal barge, converted to a static home, but with the potential to cruise in the future.
Bristol Blue has been converted to create good living space with affordable ongoing costs, and is moored on a residential mooring at Hoo on the river Medway in Kent.
Entering the boat through the wheelhouse, this area has been converted to be a kitchen area, that has plenty of storage and work surface, and also has a gas oven and sink. This area also houses the combi boiler for the gas central heating. With windows all the way around the wheelhouse offers plenty of light.
Steps lead down to the main living area, again light with good headroom. There is a breakfast bar built in and plenty of space for living room furniture.
A door leads to a corridor, the first door off of this leads the smaller bedroom, which is a comfortable single or even an office area if required. The next door leads to the shower room, with toilet, hand basin and shower cubicle.
The final door at the end of the corridor leads to the main bedroom, a good sized double with doors opening to a small deck area at the front of the boat, with some storage available below the deck.
The boat has a ford diesel transit engine that has been marinised. It has not been run for a few years but we have been informed by the current owner that with a service she would run. At the moment she is used as a static houseboat, but with the engine serviced and some adjustment to the wheelhouse together with some new navigational equipment she could easily be a cruising boat.
