“Real” is a riveted steel Barge probably of the Peniche kind. She has been converted from commercial to live-aboard with a thorough strip-out in 2008. She has a straight stemmed bow and a rounded stern typical of this type of boat. She also has an original steel aft superstructure with a wheelhouse over.
She is currently moored at Port Werburgh on a berth that shows enviable views across the Medway. Real is a project that needs completion, which is reflected in the recently reduced price.
There is a huge amount of potential to complete this floating home. The internal accommodation has an open-plan modern feel with quirky touches to some of the interior design, with the emphasis very much on light and space The large fully fitted kitchen has plenty of storage and work space, this entire area flows beautifully. There is a separate utility area and also a toilet and hand basin at the front of the boat.
