Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Jorja, a unique conversion of an American army tug, a stunning example of space and quality throughout.
Jorja's conversion has been completed over seven years, with great thought given to both layout and quality of finish, the end project being a " one off " home with space, character and history.
Externally, Jorja offers 3 decks on 3 levels, the bottom deck provides excellent space, the middle deck enables you to walk around the boat, whilst the top deck offers amazing views of the surrounding area.
Internally, Jorja offers the following :
lower level - spiral staircase leading down to an open evening lounge area, to the left a double shower and separate toilet. There are three large double bedrooms, the main double bedroom has an en-suite facility with sunken bath, toilet and wash basin. This main suite has a second staircase that leads to the main level.
main level - this houses a 30' long kitchen diner, the kitchen includes 6 ring stainless steel oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dish washer. There is a storage room, a toilet and shower, and a tv lounge that could also be a fourth double bedroom. A conservatory style roof and plenty of windows provide lots of light.
upper level - accessed from the kitchen/diner, this was the wheelhouse and is now an office, or third lounge area. It offers panoramic views, and an outside walkway around its entirity.
The tug was commissioned by the US Army in 1953 and built by Andrew Higgins, and was retired from the US Army in 2003. She saw service in the Vietnam conflict, and there is plenty of history available with the boat, mainly researched by the current owner. The decks have been painted, and she has a new set of anodes in place.
