Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Polly, an ex cruising barge classically laid out and ideal for a first or weekend home.
Polly has 6' of headroom throughout, and has been well maintained to provide comfortable living space without losing her nautical feel.
Entrance is through a sliding door into the wheelhouse/galley area. This provides panoramic views, and has plenty of storage and work surface, which has a kitchen sink and gas hob fitted, There is space for an oven, and also plumbing for a washing machine. There is also a seating area, together with the original wheel and gear lever.
Stairs lead down to a hallway, where to your right is a double cabin with a double berth already fitted. There is storage underneath the bed, and a port hole provides light and airflow. The hallway leads through to a good sized lounge, again with port holes and also a wood burning stove. Forward from the lounge is a bathroom with electric power shower, toilet and hand basin. Forward from this is the second cabin, again with built in double berth.
The exterior of the boat provides plenty of usable outside space, including the possibility of a roof terrace on the top of the wheelhouse. The engine is still in place, although has not run for many years, and is thought to have ceased.
This houseboat has a very comfortable and classic feel, and with a relatively small amount of money spent on a heating system and some kitchen white goods, could be a lovely home.
